The Commission on Audit issued Camarines Norte State College an Independent Auditor’s Report stating “unqualified opinion” on June 26, 2019. They audited the financial statements of CNSC comprised of the statement of financial position, statement of financial performance, statement of changes in net assets/equity, statement of cash flows, statement of comparison of budget and actual amounts and summary of significant policies. As a result of the audit conducted, it was found out that said financial statements present fairly and appropriately in all material respects and in strict compliance to International Public Sector Accounting System Standards (IPSASS).
The commission’s unqualified opinion is in accordance with the ethical requirements that are relevant to the audit of financial statements wherein the audit evidences obtained are sufficient and appropriate to serve as basis of the report. This clean opinion from COA means that the auditor believes that the statements presented follow IPSASS and are free from material error. To CNSC Community, it is a clear indicator of good governance of the leadership of College President Dr. Rusty G. Abanto supported by his administrative council.
Upon receipt of the Independent Auditor’s Report, overwhelmed Pres. Abanto expressed “The more we should be inspired to work harder en route to CNSC becoming UCaN, a world-class university in the province and eventually in the Bicol region”.
