CNSC wins 32nd National Quiz Show

The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc – Council of Students Chapter (IIEE-CSC) held its 20th National Students Convention (NSCon) on February 28-March 2, 2019 in Mapua University, Manila. The gathering of electrical engineering faculty and students aims to strengthen the standards of electrical engineering (EE) profession through the event which consists of technical and non-technical talks from experts inthe said field and through a healthy and competitive quiz competition for EE students.

IIEE-CNSC- Regional Quiz Show Team Jhonel Maligat (Team Captain), John Rocel Perez, Elver Veri, Albert Serrano and John Vincent Racasa made it as CHAMPION in the 32nd National Quiz Show which highlighted the 20th NSCon . A total of 23 schools in the country participated in the competition. CNSC won the championship round with University of Batangas and University of Cebu as 2nd and 3rd placers.

On the other hand IIEE-CNSC- Regional Math Wizard Team composed of John Rocel Perez ( Team Captain) with Cybel Mariano, Loreimay Andaya, Lorence Ramos, and Lorenzo Fuentes landed 5th place among 24 participating institutions in the 18th National Math Wizard Competition. University of Cebu, Bulacan State University and Polytechnic University of the Philippines ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Engr. Noli Esperas served as Coach of the CNSC Team. Engr. Leo Agustin P. Vela, a faculty of the College of Engineering and currently the designated VP for Technical Affairs of IIEE Camarines Norte Chapter was selected as one of the Board of Judges of the Skills Olympics which is part of the event.

The performance of the EE students in the recently concluded competition proves CNSCs soaring performance and level of competitiveness at par with other HEIs in the country. It also continues its commitment to offer quality education which contributes to the institution’s journey towards excellence.
