We are happy to share that the Institute of Fisheries and Marine Sciences is now officially renamed as the College of Fisheries, Aquatic Sciences, and Technology (CFAST), along with the approval for the use of its institutional logo through Board of Trustees Resolution No. 36, s. 2025.

This milestone was made possible through the proposal initiated by Mr. Amiel Jay S. Socorro, MSc., Mrs. Anne Marie Carreon-Arevalo, MSc., Mr. Jefferson T. Dacer, JD, and Mrs. Maybelle Anne S. Borigas-Bana, with the invaluable support of the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the institute—whose collective dedication and commitment played a vital role in this institutional advancement.

The Camarines Norte State College community is deeply appreciated for its wholehearted support in the successful renaming of the institute. We also gratefully acknowledge the steadfast leadership and endorsement of Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz, PECE, SUC President III, which significantly contributed to the approval and realization of this academic milestone.
