Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 On April 15, 2025, the Camarines Norte State College ROTC Unit conducted its Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) at the CNSC entrance pavilion. The event began with the arrival of honors, welcoming the RAATI team.The ceremonial parade marked the official start of the RAATI. Following the parade, the events included a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as a comprehensive exam, military operational instruction (MOI), OPORD writing, company drills, assembly and disassembly of M16 rifles, first aid (both theoretical and practical), knot tying, map reading (theoretical and practical), and small unit tactics (SUT).The ceremony also featured the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, a counting of the troops, a manual of arms demonstration, and the officers’ center march.

Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC CNSC Enters Top 10 in AUAP International Debate; Mercedes Campus Marks First International Competition By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 Two teams from Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) secured Top 10 finishes in the 2nd Student English Debate Competition (SEDC) organized by the Association of Universities in Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), held at Rizal Technological University on April 7–8, 2025. Representing CNSC-Mercedes Campus were Paula Joy B. Oliver (2nd Year, BS Fisheries), Aiser B. Tabora (1st Year, BS Fisheries), and Anthony Bernard B. Maravillas (1st Year, BS Fisheries), mentored by Language and Literature Instructor and Coach Shena Mae D. Opeda. Their placement in the Top 10 marks a historic milestone as Mercedes Campus participated in an international academic competition for the first time. Meanwhile, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) team was composed of Niel D. Alera and Aisle Mitch D. Angara (4th Year, AB English Language Studies) and Patrick Joe C. Bañega (1st Year, AB ELS), under the guidance of Head Coach and ELS Program Chairperson Marianne Mae I. Jalgalado, with Assistant Coaches Glen Estacion (Sociology Faculty) and Aliza Bianca Emaas (ELS Faculty). Both CNSC teams demonstrated outstanding communication, teamwork, and analytical skills, earning recognition among the top debate performers in the Asia-Pacific region.

Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC COLLEGE OF EDUCATION PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS DOMINATES 2025 BICOL REGIONAL STUDENT TEACHERS’ CONGRESS By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 Student-teachers from CNSC – College of Education emerged as top performers at the recent 2025 Bicol Regional Student Teachers’ Congress, held March 28 at the Bicol University College of Education. The event, organized by the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE) Bicol Chapter, gathered the region’s most promising future educators under the theme “Empowering Tomorrow’s Educators: Transforming Challenges into Opportunities.” The congress aims to highlight the role of student-teachers in addressing the dynamic demands of the education sector. The second leg of the congress took place on April 2 at the Albay Astrodome in Legazpi City, featuring discussions on resilience, innovation, and adaptability in education. A major highlight of the event was the Search for the Ten Outstanding Student Teachers (TOST)—a rigorous competition assessing E-portfolio submissions (25%), demonstration teaching (40%), and panel interviews (35%). CNSC Dominates TOST 2025CNSC student-teachers delivered outstanding performances in both categories of the TOST competition.In the Elementary Level, Arriane O. Avellana (Bachelor of Elementary Education) secured the top spot with her dynamic lesson delivery and innovative teaching strategies. She was mentored by Prof. Jeanette C. Daniel.In the Secondary Level, Isaac Gainever M. Carmelina (Bachelor of Secondary Education – Sciences) also clinched first place. He was guided by Prof. Iris Eboña and Prof. Aldrin Jake Asis, showcasing excellent content mastery and effective classroom techniques. Excellence in Educational Research CNSC also topped the 2025 Student Teachers’ Research Competition. The team of Erica S. Cortez, Chain D. Habana, and John Paolo R. Rafer bagged first place with their study, “Development and Evaluation of Kimikapp: A Web-Based Learning Application for Enhancing Grade 9 Least Mastered Competencies in Chemistry at Camarines Norte National High School.” Their research, under the mentorship of Prof. Glency A. Perez, explored technology-driven strategies to address learning gaps in science education. Awards and ScholarshipsIn recognition of their achievements, all three student-researchers received 50-percent scholarships from the Carl Balita Review Center and 5,000 pesos. Meanwhile, Avellana and Carmelina, the TOST Winners in elementary and secondary categories, were awarded full CBRC scholarships and 5,000 pesos each. CNSC’s consistent excellence in regional competitions reaffirms its status as a leading institution for teacher education in Bicol. The success of its student-teachers reflects the College of Education’s strong commitment to shaping resilient, innovative, and future-ready educators.

Trinidad, achieved remarkable success at the 2025 National Arts and Sciences Research Congress (NASRECON), which took place virtually via Zoom on February 6-7, 2025. The event, endorsed by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC), revolved around the theme “Cultivating Academic Synergy Across Arts and Sciences,” following PASUC Advisory No. 183, s. 2024. Ms. Naomi Mari P. Calong, a 4th-year BA Sociology student, was awarded Best Oral Presenter for her research titled “Digital Consumerism and Identity Formation Among Young Adults in Camarines Norte.” Adviser: Glen Estacion. Mr. Christian M. RAMIREZ, MBA Head, Alumni Affairs Office, 2025 On February 3, 2025, Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) achieved a significant milestone in its internationalization journey through a virtual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMP), Indonesia. Held via Zoom, this landmark event underscores CNSC’s dedication to fostering international partnerships that broaden global learning opportunities and elevate academic standards. This collaboration, spearheaded by CNSC’s Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) program under the College of Business and Public Administration, represents a pivotal step toward equipping students, faculty, and alumni with globally competitive competencies in an interconnected world.The online ceremony gathered distinguished leaders from both institutions. Representing UMP were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, Rector of UMP; Dr. Jeki Mediantari W. Wibawanti, Director for Cooperation and International Affairs; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tusino, Vice President of UMP. From CNSC, the delegation was led by Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz, PECE, CNSC President, alongside Ms. Nicole Anne G. Labo Campus Conducts Tribute and Testimonial Ceremony to ABE Passers By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 Camarines Norte State College – Labo Campus in collaboration with the The Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Pre-Professional Group (PSABE PPG) honored their 2024 ABE Passers with a Tribute and Testimonial Ceremony last January 17, 2025 (Friday) with the theme “A Tribute to Triumph: A Toast to 2024 ABE Passers”. The activity, held at Labo Campus – CBPC Hall aimed to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the graduates for passing the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Licensure Examination last December 2024. Present during the testimonial ceremony were Campus Director Dr. Arden Peejay L. Ezaki, College of Engineering Dean Engr. Aireen M. Babagay, DABE Program Chairperson Engr. Natalie Naval, MSAE, and PSABE PPG Adviser Dr. Gelyn L. Bongabong. One of the highlights of the event was the testimonials of the passers, sharing their journeys, challenges, and triumphs. Ms. Novelyn Octa, the PSABE PPG President, led the Challenge Acceptance and Bayaw Toast. The ceremony concluded with a dinner and fellowship night.

CNSC Delegation Attends Bicol Young Leaders’ Summit By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 Nineteen student leaders and two faculty advisers, along with Ms. Rhodaviv Avila, Director of the CNSC Office of the Student Services Division and the current Vice President for Public Higher Education Institutions of the Bicol Council of Deans and Directors of Student Affairs and Services, attend the Bicol Young Leaders’ Summit 2025 at Ateneo De Naga University. This summit, themed “Redefining Horizons: Empowering Visionaries for a Dynamic Tomorrow,” will take place from January 16 to 18, 2025 and will feature series of activities and four key modules designed to help shape student leaders. These modules include the following topics: Module 1: Understanding Oneself: Self-Awareness as the Foundation of Leadership Module 2: Lead, Motivate & Inspire: Developing One’s Leadership Skills Module 3: Amplifying Voices, Mobilizing Actions: A Seminar-Workshop for Advocacy Building Module 4: Plan, Transform, Deliver: A Seminar – Workshop for Impactful Project Development Among the 19 student leaders is the Union of Supreme Student Government (USSG) Chairperson, Adonis II “Undo” Salen, together with the rest of the student delegates namely, Reizo Bhienn S.
