CNSC Extension Services Director Dr. Girly H. Naval delivered the Welcome Remarks and Overview of Partnership. Meanwhile, messages were given by CNSC College President Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz, CNSC VPRE Dr. Rosalie A. Almadrones and PFAC Chairperson Irene A. Elechicon.

The delegation was led by CNSC President Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz, an NRCP Regular Member, alongside 11 Associate Members, including Dr. Eduardo Abad, Dr. Jennifer Rubio, Dr. Melanie Bacuno, Dr. Roger Jay L. De Vela, Dr. Ma. Angela Josefa Pioquinto, Dr. Rosemarie Bigueras, Dr. Daniel Maligat, Mr. Melvin D. Angeles, Dr. Delma Jean Abad, and Engr. Joselito Olalo. The National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) plays a vital role as an advisory body to the Philippine government, advocating for and supporting fundamental research while enhancing the research capabilities of Filipino scientists. It also promotes a scientific and technological culture across various sectors of society, fostering innovation and progress in research and development.

The MOU aims to promote faculty and student exchanges, joint research, academic programs, seminars, and resource sharing. Both institutions are committed to fostering mutual academic growth through collaborative initiatives and enhancing academic and cultural collaboration. Representing CNSC President Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz was Dr. Maria Cristina C. Azuelo, Vice President for Administration and Finance, accompanied by Noel C. Alegre, Head of the International Relations Office.

Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC Connect to Create Version 2.0 Expands to Camarines Norte By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 The Connect to Create Version 2.0 project, a regional initiative promoting local innovation and MSME competitiveness, was launched on December 6, 2023, in Legazpi City and has already been implemented in Albay, Camarines Sur, and Sorsogon. Now in its final year, the project is expanding to Camarines Norte, Masbate, and Catanduanes through a collaboration between DTI Region V, Bicol University FabLab, Bicol Designers Association (BIDA) and Camarines Norte State College. For Camarines Norte, 10 MSMEs from the food and non-food sectors on the Abaca and Pili Industries, participated in product enhancement and development with BIDA designers from BU FabLab at the CNSC-Fabrication Manufacturing Research Center (CNSC-FMRC). Engr. Joselito A. Olalo provided insights into the services offered by CNSC-FMRC during the Briefing and Orientation session tailored for the MSMEs. The event saw the participation of key figures, including Dr. Baby Boy Benjamin D. Nebres, SUC President IV of Bicol University, and Dr. Rosalie A. Almadrones, Vice President for Research and Extension of CNSC.ย  They were joined by Executive Assistant III Nicole Ann G. Panotes, as well as staff from FMRC and BIDA designers, all dedicated to supporting local entrepreneurial growth.

Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC 36th Regional Symposium on Research and Development By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 RSRDH 2025 | The Bicol Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (BCAARRD), in collaboration with Camarines Norte State College (CNSC), successfully conducted the 36th Regional Symposium on Research and Development on March 6, 2025, with CNSC also serving as the venue for the activity. The program commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. Rosalie A. Almadrones, Vice President for Research and Extension (VPRE), who represented Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz, the President of CNSC Following this, Dr. Baby Boy Benjamin D. Nebres, the President of Bicol University and Chairperson of the RRDCC, delivered an opening message, commending the participants for their dedication to research. Attendees then watched an audiovisual message from the keynote speaker, Dr. Reynaldo V. Ebora, the Executive Director of DOST-PCAARRD. The symposium featured two simultaneous sessions: one dedicated to research innovations and the other focused on developmental initiatives. The research category convened at the CNSC Student Center, while the development category took place at the Graduate School Building of CNSC. This arrangement allowed participants to engage deeply in their respective fields of interest. The activity concluded with the announcement of winners across various categories, including the research and development sessions, as well as the Best Poster award. The closing message was delivered by Dr. Lester M. Narvaez, who emphasized the importance of collaboration and ongoing research in the field. Trinidad, achieved remarkable success at the 2025 National Arts and Sciences Research Congress (NASRECON), which took place virtually via Zoom on February 6-7, 2025. The event, endorsed by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC), revolved around the theme “Cultivating Academic Synergy Across Arts and Sciences,” following PASUC Advisory No. 183, s. 2024. Ms. Naomi Mari P. Calong, a 4th-year BA Sociology student, was awarded Best Oral Presenter for her research titled “Digital Consumerism and Identity Formation Among Young Adults in Camarines Norte.” Adviser: Glen Estacion. Mr. Christian M. Rempillo, also a 4th-year BA Sociology student, won the Best Paper award for his study on “Financial Literacy and Budget Prioritization of Former Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Beneficiaries in Basud, Camarines Norte.” Adviser: Ronald Escasinas Ms. Catlyn Aloc, another 4th-year BA Sociology student, was recognized for her Outstanding Presentation on “De-colorizing: Experiences of Dark-Skinned Filipina Women.” Adviser: Ria Morales
