By: CNSC CEID, 2025 A safe and gender-fair haven for play and parenting is finally here at CNSC.  To All CNSC Breastfeeding Employees and Students We’re pleased to announce that the Milk Minding and Play Space (MiMiPS) is now open as part of CNSC’s community facilities. Designed to support children aged 0–5 years, MiMiPS offers a welcoming environment equipped with breastfeeding couches, educational materials, and interactive toys. Every mother deserves a safe and nurturing space to breastfeed while pursuing work or studies at CNSC. This facility is here for you and your child—readily accessible, thoughtfully designed, and rooted in our commitment to care and inclusivity.  Visit us at the 2nd Floor, GAD Building, beside CNSC Entrance Pavilion, Main Campus. You no longer need to apply for your Library Card. The CNSC Main Library will automatically issue Library Cards to all new students once your complete enrollment data is received in our system. The schedule for claiming of Library Cards will be posted by program on the CNSC Main Library Facebook Page and at the Main Library Bulletin Board. It covers public spaces, online platforms, workplaces, and educational institutions. The law defines and penalizes various forms of sexual harassment, promoting a safer environment for everyone.Key Aspects of RA 11313:•𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐱𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:The law outlines specific acts that constitute gender-based sexual harassment, including catcalling, unwanted comments about appearance, stalking, and sharing intimate photos without consent.•𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞:It applies to harassment occurring in public spaces (streets, online, etc.), workplaces, and educational or training institutions.•𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬:RA 11313 includes provisions for reporting, investigating, and adjudicating complaints related to sexual harassment.•𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:The law prescribes penalties for perpetrators of gender-based sexual harassment, with penalties increasing for repeat offenses and in cases involving vulnerable individuals.•𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:Employers are mandated to establish policies and procedures to prevent and address sexual harassment in the workplace, including the creation of a Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI).

De La Cruz, Camarines Norte State College’s 6th President ended his four-year term on July 28, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Inasmuch as his position as CNSC president is a secondment, he returns to Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) where he is a professor VI.  A Special Board of Trustees meeting was held on July 25, 2025, where two candidates for OIC-President were presented and voted upon, and in which, Dr. Edgar P. Aban, director of the College of Education, won through a democratic process observing the rule of the majority. He took his oath of office on July 29, 2025, before CHED Commissioner Dr. Ethel Agnes P. Valenzuela.  Dr. Aban will serve as the officer-in-charge of the institution while the Board conducts a search for qualified candidates and selects a new president based on qualifications, experience, and vision. When the Board has appointed one, Dr. Aban will cease to be the OIC. Also, he is not eligible to run for the presidency.  The CNSC Board of Trustees is composed of a CHED commissioner who is the chair-designate, the college president as the vice-chairperson, and with members like the chairman of the Senate Committee on Education, Culture & Arts; the chairperson of the House Committee on Higher & Technical Education; a House representative; a regional director of the Department of Economy, Planning & Development; a regional director of the Department of Agriculture; a regional director of the Department of Science and Technology; the president of the Federation of Faculty Association, Inc.; the chairperson of the Federation of Alumni Association, Inc.; and, the chairperson of the USSG.
