Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC 36th Regional Symposium on Research and Development By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 RSRDH 2025 | The Bicol Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (BCAARRD), in collaboration with Camarines Norte State College (CNSC), successfully conducted the 36th Regional Symposium on Research and Development on March 6, 2025, with CNSC also serving as the venue for the activity. The program commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. Rosalie A. Almadrones, Vice President for Research and Extension (VPRE), who represented Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz, the President of CNSC Following this, Dr. Baby Boy Benjamin D. Nebres, the President of Bicol University and Chairperson of the RRDCC, delivered an opening message, commending the participants for their dedication to research. Attendees then watched an audiovisual message from the keynote speaker, Dr. Reynaldo V. Ebora, the Executive Director of DOST-PCAARRD. The symposium featured two simultaneous sessions: one dedicated to research innovations and the other focused on developmental initiatives. The research category convened at the CNSC Student Center, while the development category took place at the Graduate School Building of CNSC. This arrangement allowed participants to engage deeply in their respective fields of interest. The activity concluded with the announcement of winners across various categories, including the research and development sessions, as well as the Best Poster award. The closing message was delivered by Dr. Lester M. Narvaez, who emphasized the importance of collaboration and ongoing research in the field. Alcala together with PNVSCA Volunteer Service I Dempsey D. Alariao and PNVSCA Admin Aide VI Rodi M. Zablan conducted a Partnership Review (PR) with CNSC College President Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz, PECE and CNSC Focal Person of the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) Irvin O. Bequillo on March 2, 2025 at CNSC Office of the President, Main Campus. The PR was conducted to determine the progress of implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed. It served as a valuable opportunity to reflect on the achievements, address any challenges and explore new avenues for collaboration.

Prof. TS. Dr. Zaiton Sapak from Universiti Teknologi Mara (Malaysia) during a welcome ceremony held at the OP Boardroom earlier today, March 5, 2025. This ceremony was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension (OVPRE) in collaboration with the Queen Pineapple Research and Development Institute (QPRDI), with the intention of fostering a framework for prospective collaborative research initiatives and work on international funding for research, publication and exchange of researchers and experts with Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) The activity was attended by key figures in the CNSC community, including Dr. Rosalie A. Almadrones, Vice President for Research and Extension; Dr. Arlene C. Alegre, Director of QPRDI; and Adrian C. Guinto, Research Services Director. Additionally, the presence of various office heads from CNSC underscored the institution’s commitment to advancing research. Executive Assistant III Nicole Ann G. Panotes represented Dr. Marlo M. This notable event will bring the extension projects to elevate under the program of Bicol Regional Alliance Capacity Enhancement for Impact Evaluation (BRACE) for the conduct of impact evaluations of completed extension programs and projects.
