Empowering Coastal Defenders: Training on Fiberglass Patrol Boat Construction
Did you know that patrol boats are the unsung heroes of our coastlines? From their durability to their low maintenance costs, these vessels have been silently protecting us.
With that, Engr. Joselito A. Olalo, Engr. Julius S. Laborte, and Mr. Nolito S. Roquid, representatives from CNSC had the opportunity to attend and participate in the training on the construction and maintenance of fiberglass reinforced plastic patrol boats (FRPB) on July 15-25, 2024 in Navotas City, led by Tanggol Kalikasan Inc., in cooperation with CNSC-Institute of Environmental Governance (IEG) Team.
The training’s lectures, which included introductions to fiberglass reinforced patrol (FRP), a lamination of FRP boat, and demonstration of value-added fiberglass and resin products, were designed to improve the knowledge and abilities of the participants.
