RAMIREZ, MBA Head, Alumni Affairs Office, 2025 On February 3, 2025, Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) achieved a significant milestone in its internationalization journey through a virtual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMP), Indonesia. Held via Zoom, this landmark event underscores CNSC’s dedication to fostering international partnerships that broaden global learning opportunities and elevate academic standards. This collaboration, spearheaded by CNSC’s Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) program under the College of Business and Public Administration, represents a pivotal step toward equipping students, faculty, and alumni with globally competitive competencies in an interconnected world.The online ceremony gathered distinguished leaders from both institutions. Representing UMP were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, Rector of UMP; Dr. Jeki Mediantari W. Wibawanti, Director for Cooperation and International Affairs; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tusino, Vice President of UMP. From CNSC, the delegation was led by Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz, PECE, CNSC President, alongside Ms. Nicole Anne G. Panotes, his Executive Assistant; Dr. Dolores Volante, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Mr. Crisanto S. Ramirez, MBA, Head of the Alumni Affairs Office and BSOA Program Chairperson; Dr. Gehana D. Lamug, Dean of the College of Business and Public Administration; and BSOA faculty members Ms. Frances Noegeline P. Manila, MBA, and Ms. Joanne M. Orendain, MBM. During the event, De La Cruz emphasized the significance of this partnership, highlighting its potential to provide students and faculty with opportunities to excel on a global stage. CNSC, CNNHS Ink MOA on Partnership and Collaboration Renewal By: CNSC Office of  the President, 2025   Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) and Camarines Norte National High School (CNNHS) signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Partnership and Collaboration Renewal towards the Strengthening of Research Culture on January 28, 2025 at CNNHS, Covered Court, Brgy. Camambugan, Daet. The MOA was signed by CNSC President Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz, PECE, and witnessed by VPRE Dr. Rosalie A. Almadrones and Research Director Dr. Adrian C. Guinto. Also present during the event was Dr. Daniel Maligat Jr., CCMS Dean. Meanwhile, signatories and witnesses from CNNHS were Mr. Francisco D. Torrero, Secondary School Principal II and Mr. Ray Duovanni N. Regondola, School Research Coordinator. The activity was attended in by CNNHS Junior and Senior High School students and teachers. This event demonstrates the strong commitment and relationship between the two (2) institutions which both aim for the promotion of research and innovation that are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Labo Campus Conducts Tribute and Testimonial Ceremony to ABE Passers By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 Camarines Norte State College – Labo Campus in collaboration with the The Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Pre-Professional Group (PSABE PPG) honored their 2024 ABE Passers with a Tribute and Testimonial Ceremony last January 17, 2025 (Friday) with the theme “A Tribute to Triumph: A Toast to 2024 ABE Passers”. The activity, held at Labo Campus – CBPC Hall aimed to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the graduates for passing the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Licensure Examination last December 2024. Present during the testimonial ceremony were Campus Director Dr. Arden Peejay L. Ezaki, College of Engineering Dean Engr. Aireen M. Babagay, DABE Program Chairperson Engr. Natalie Naval, MSAE, and PSABE PPG Adviser Dr. Gelyn L. Bongabong. One of the highlights of the event was the testimonials of the passers, sharing their journeys, challenges, and triumphs. Ms. Novelyn Octa, the PSABE PPG President, led the Challenge Acceptance and Bayaw Toast. The ceremony concluded with a dinner and fellowship night.

Camarines Norte State College Produces 41 New Civil Engineers

Camarines Norte State College Produces 41 New Civil Engineers By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 On November 2024 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination, 41 graduates from the civil engineering program passed the examination. 60.34% passing rate for first takers and 23.81% for repeaters. The institutional passing rate is 50.63% and 37.07% for the national passing rate. At the Testimonial Ceremony held in January 20, 2025 with the theme “Transforming dreams into skylines: Celebrating the triumphs and legacies of civil engineering”, the community celebrated the wonderful achievements of the Civil Engineering program. Engr. Maria Senen D. Bongulto MSE, Civil Engineering Department Head opened the program by welcoming the newly passed civil engineers, followed by a message from the Dean of the College of Engineering, Engr. Aireen M. Babagay RME. SUC President III Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz, PECE also gave an insightful message for the Civil Engineers. Also, an inspirational message was given by Engr. Ramon A. Orbita, Assistant Professor IV. The event highlighted the perseverance and dedication required for such career and it also gave importance for the effort that the newly passed engineers gave to achieve such milestones. Finally, the Testimonial Ceremony was formally closed by Engr. Richelle C. Vedad. MET, adviser of PICE – CNSC Chapter.

CNSC Faculty Members Attend Mentoring Program at CBSUA By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 Seven faculty members participated in the Mentoring Program on Policy Analysis and Research Proposal Development held from January 13 to 17, 2025 at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA). The group comprised four faculty members from the Mercedes Campus, two from Labo Campus, and one from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). This activity was organized by the Development Innovations and Policy Laboratory (DIP Lab) of the College of Public Affairs and Development (CPAf) at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), in collaboration with Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and the Bicol Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (BCAARRD). Meanwhile, Dr. Arlene C. Alegre received the University Achievement Award for a collaborated project with other researchers from other SUCs titled “Enhancing Pili Nut (Canarium Ovatum Engl.) Propagation and Distribution”. The seven participating faculty members alongside Dr. Alegre from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) included Noel C. Alegre (CAS), Mary Jane Ferrer (CANR), Darwin Biag (Mercedes Campus), Sheena Furio (Mercedes Campus), Monicalyn Borlagdan (Mercedes Campus), and Shena Mae Opeda (Mercedes Campus).

CNSC Delegation Attends Bicol Young Leaders’ Summit By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 Nineteen student leaders and two faculty advisers, along with Ms. Rhodaviv Avila, Director of the CNSC Office of the Student Services Division and the current Vice President for Public Higher Education Institutions of the Bicol Council of Deans and Directors of Student Affairs and Services, attend the Bicol Young Leaders’ Summit 2025 at Ateneo De Naga University. This summit, themed “Redefining Horizons: Empowering Visionaries for a Dynamic Tomorrow,” will take place from January 16 to 18, 2025 and will feature series of activities and four key modules designed to help shape student leaders. These modules include the following topics: Module 1: Understanding Oneself: Self-Awareness as the Foundation of Leadership Module 2: Lead, Motivate & Inspire: Developing One’s Leadership Skills Module 3: Amplifying Voices, Mobilizing Actions: A Seminar-Workshop for Advocacy Building Module 4: Plan, Transform, Deliver: A Seminar – Workshop for Impactful Project Development Among the 19 student leaders is the Union of Supreme Student Government (USSG) Chairperson, Adonis II “Undo” Salen, together with the rest of the student delegates namely, Reizo Bhienn S.
