Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC College of Engineering Conducts Testimonial Ceremony to February 2025 MELE Passers By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 Camarines Norte State College – College of Engineering, in collaboration with the Junior Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers, honored the new Mechanical Engineers with a Testimonial Ceremony held on March 4, 2025. This event was celebrated the under the theme “Elevating Excellence: Honoring Our New Mechanical Engineer Board Passers of 2025.” The ceremony took place at the CNSC Covered Court and aimed to recognize the hard work and dedication of the graduates who passed the Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination (MELE), conducted from February 17 to 19, 2025.Present at the testimonial ceremony were the Dean of the College of Engineering, Engr. Aireen M. Babagay, along with faculty, staff, and mechanical engineering students.

Prof. TS. Dr. Zaiton Sapak from Universiti Teknologi Mara (Malaysia) during a welcome ceremony held at the OP Boardroom earlier today, March 5, 2025. This ceremony was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension (OVPRE) in collaboration with the Queen Pineapple Research and Development Institute (QPRDI), with the intention of fostering a framework for prospective collaborative research initiatives and work on international funding for research, publication and exchange of researchers and experts with Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) The activity was attended by key figures in the CNSC community, including Dr. Rosalie A. Almadrones, Vice President for Research and Extension; Dr. Arlene C. Alegre, Director of QPRDI; and Adrian C. Guinto, Research Services Director. Additionally, the presence of various office heads from CNSC underscored the institution’s commitment to advancing research. Executive Assistant III Nicole Ann G. Panotes represented Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz at this noteworthy occasion.

This notable event will bring the extension projects to elevate under the program of Bicol Regional Alliance Capacity Enhancement for Impact Evaluation (BRACE) for the conduct of impact evaluations of completed extension programs and projects.

Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC 4th Year BA Sociology Students win during NASRECON 2025 By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 Three students from the College of Arts and Sciences, headed by College Dean Dr. Jocelyn E. Trinidad, achieved remarkable success at the 2025 National Arts and Sciences Research Congress (NASRECON), which took place virtually via Zoom on February 6-7, 2025. The event, endorsed by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC), revolved around the theme “Cultivating Academic Synergy Across Arts and Sciences,” following PASUC Advisory No. 183, s. 2024. Ms. Naomi Mari P. Calong, a 4th-year BA Sociology student, was awarded Best Oral Presenter for her research titled “Digital Consumerism and Identity Formation Among Young Adults in Camarines Norte.” Adviser: Glen Estacion. Mr. Christian M. Rempillo, also a 4th-year BA Sociology student, won the Best Paper award for his study on “Financial Literacy and Budget Prioritization of Former Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Beneficiaries in Basud, Camarines Norte.” Adviser: Ronald Escasinas Ms. Catlyn Aloc, another 4th-year BA Sociology student, was recognized for her Outstanding Presentation on “De-colorizing: Experiences of Dark-Skinned Filipina Women.” Adviser: Ria Morales
