Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC CNSC and Tanggol Kalikasan Inc. conducts Three Day Fishery Law Enforcement Training to Bantay Dagat Volunteers of Daet and Paracale By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 Over 20 Bantay Dagat volunteers from the municipalities of Daet and Paracale participated in a three-day Fishery Law Enforcement Training held from July 29 to 31, 2025. This initiative aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of fishery and environmental laws, improve enforcement and investigation skills, and empower Bantay Dagat volunteers in their role as frontliners in marine resource conservation The training, conducted under the Environmental Justice Sector Reform Project, featured lectures and practical sessions on key environmental laws and enforcement protocols. Legal experts Atty. Fritzielyn Palmiery and Atty. Mark Martinez served as resource persons, tackling topics such as the Amended Fisheries Code of the Philippines, Wildlife Act, Chainsaw Act, Mining Act, NIPAS Act, Forestry Code, and rules on arrest, search, seizure, and detention. Paracale Mayor Romeo Y. Moreno and CNSC’s Vice President for Research and Extension Dr. Rosalie A. Almadrones, and Extension Services Director Dr. Girly H. Naval graced the activity, expressing their gratitude to the organizers and affirming their respective institutions’ full support for community-based marine protection

Volante, Vice President for Academic Affairs, delivered the opening remarks while Mr. Jefferson T. Dacer, Chief Administrative Officer, explained why such an activity is conducted. Meanwhile, Dr. Edgar P. Aban, OIC-President, welcomed the new employees. The HRMO team, led by Mr. Martin M. De La Cruz, Camarines Norte State College’s 6th President ended his four-year term on July 28, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Inasmuch as his position as CNSC president is a secondment, he returns to Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) where he is a professor VI.  A Special Board of Trustees meeting was held on July 25, 2025, where two candidates for OIC-President were presented and voted upon, and in which, Dr. Edgar P. Aban, director of the College of Education, won through a democratic process observing the rule of the majority. He took his oath of office on July 29, 2025, before CHED Commissioner Dr. Ethel Agnes P. Valenzuela.  Dr. Aban will serve as the officer-in-charge of the institution while the Board conducts a search for qualified candidates and selects a new president based on qualifications, experience, and vision. When the Board has appointed one, Dr. Aban will cease to be the OIC. Also, he is not eligible to run for the presidency.  The CNSC Board of Trustees is composed of a CHED commissioner who is the chair-designate, the college president as the vice-chairperson, and with members like the chairman of the Senate Committee on Education, Culture & Arts; the chairperson of the House Committee on Higher & Technical Education; a House representative; a regional director of the Department of Economy, Planning & Development; a regional director of the Department of Agriculture; a regional director of the Department of Science and Technology; the president of the Federation of Faculty Association, Inc.; the chairperson of the Federation of Alumni Association, Inc.; and, the chairperson of the USSG.

Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC SANGHAYA 2025: National Youth Literary Festival By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 SANGHAYA 2025: National Youth Literary Festival noong Hulyo 30, 2025, sa Camarines Norte State College (CNSC), sa pakikipagtulungan ng National Committee on Literary Arts ng National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) at ng Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC). Layunin ng festival na ito na higit pang palaganapin ang panitikan sa hanay ng kabataan, hikayatin ang malikhaing pamamahayag, at linangin ang kulturang Filipino para sa susunod na henerasyon ng mga manunulat.Sa unang araw pa lamang ng programa, dama na agad ang masiglang pagdiriwang ng kulturang Filipino. Mainit ang naging pagtanggap sa mga kalahok mula sa iba’t ibang rehiyon ng bansa. Pinangunahan ito ng mga opisyal ng CNSC, kabilang sina Dr. Edgar P. Aban, OIC-President ng CNSC, at Dr. Dolores C. Volante, Vice President for Academic Affairs.Samantala, nagbigay ng mensahe si Paolo Gabriel Ferrer, Vice President for Internal Affairs ng JCI Daet Kabihug sa ngalan ni JCI Daet Kabihug President, Nico C. Cañaveral President. Nagbigay naman ng konteksto si Niles Breis, Tagapamuno ng National Committee on Literary Arts (NCLA), ukol sa kasaysayan at layunin ng National Youth Literary Festival, kung paano ito nagsimula at kung paanong patuloy itong pinalalaganap. Mahalaga ang diskusyong ito upang maunawaan ng mga kalahok ang lalim ng kahalagahan ng kanilang pagtitipon.Sa unang araw din ay ibinahagi ang mga patakaran at gabay para sa mga gaganaping performance-making at iba’t ibang gawaing pampanitikan.Sa ganitong selebrasyon, nawa’y patuloy nating linangin at pagyamanin ang ating mga talento lalo na ang pagmamahal sa kulturang Filipino.

Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC Medical and Dental Services receives Plaque of Appreciation by the Philippine Red Cross By: CNSC PICRO, 2025 The CNSC Emergency Response Team, Medical and Dental Services is awarded a Plaque of Appreciation by the Philippine Red Cross during the World Blood Donors Month Celebration, earlier today, at the SM City Events Center.The ERT, Medical & Dental Services is recognized for their invaluable partnership with the Red Cross and steadfast support in promoting voluntary blood donation and in organizing successful blood drives.The ERT is headed by Dr. Doreen B. Pefianco with the support of the CNSC administration led by Dr. Marlo M. De la Cruz.
