Grand Winner of the International Research Competition

Unlocking Bright Futures View the Latest News and Updates of CNSC Grand Winner of the International Research Competition By: CNSC PICRO, 2024 Congratulations to 𝐊𝐎𝐁𝐄 𝐌. 𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐌𝐎 and 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐎𝐍 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐃. 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐈𝐀𝐃𝐎 of the CNSC College of Business and Public Administration for being the Grand Winner of the International Research Competition Category 2 – Undergraduate, as recently awarded by the Institute of Industry and Academic Research Incorporated. Astronomo and Cambiado are under the tutelage of Ms. Ma. Reina A. Mabeza and Mr. Andrew Emmerson P. Abilgos. So, what does it entail to win an international research competition? Our winners underwent three grueling Rounds. During the First Round, the chair and co-chair of IIARI voted to 𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐓 or 𝐑𝐄𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 each submission in the three categories (our Grand Winner is under Category 2 – Undergraduate). After the votes were casted, these were tallied to determine split decision. A third evaluator was called to make the final decision on the split decision. Then, the final number of second round qualifiers were announced and only the qualifiers were sent notice of acceptance via email. On the Second Round, the qualifiers were given sufficient time to complete their paper and submit the same in proper format in order to register for the competition. Any qualifier who complied with all the requirements (full paper, proof of enrolment/graduation, registration fee, complete registration form) were declared second round finalists. The anonymous full papers were then evaluated by a separate panel comprising 60% of the total scores. Each category had a different set of two evaluators where at the end of round two, a maximum of ten papers entered the final round. Lastly, during the Final Round, the finalists were called for a virtual panel interview that comprised 40% of the total scores. The panel evaluated the knowledge of the author about the topic. The scores of the finalists from the second round (evaluation of the full paper) and the final round (panel interview) were totalled to determine the winner. The competition used ranking method in the calculation of results. With all these rigors of choosing the best paper, it is quite a feat, to say the least, to become even a finalist. But ours, our very own 𝐊𝐎𝐁𝐄 𝐌. 𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐌𝐎 and 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐎𝐍 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐃. 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐈𝐀𝐃𝐎 are declared a 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐑!!! Congratulations! The whole CNSC is mighty proud!
