Social Policy Research Centerridge to Reef Program
The Social and Policy Research Center is working on sustainable development and climate change mitigation through ecosystem-based approach dubbed as Ridge to Reef Project. This platform is a holistic approach that targets both the watershed or inland ecosystems and the coastal or marine ecosystems of the province of Camarines Norte. As a response to climate change it utilizes the Integrated Watershed Management (IWM) and Integrated Coastal Resource Management (ICRM) approaches while seeking to develop other local approaches that will help reverse the degradation of upland, lowland, and coastal resources. Thus, combining Integrated Watershed Management (IWM) and Integrated Coastal Resource Management (ICRM) as “ridge to reef” sustainable development approach offers a development agenda that limits the impact of the use of natural resources on the fragile micro and macro environments. With this approach, the Social and Policy Research Center of Camarines Norte State College offers collaborative endeavor with the Local Government Units (LGUs), Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), Government Organizations (GOs), and higher educational institutions (HEIs). Collaborative projects, study, and activities with the various nodes and specializations of Camarines Norte State College is also sought to provide an avenue for sustainable development in Camarines Norte.

Diagnostic Laboratory Services
As CNSC devoted to producing quality graduates, there is also a strong need to fill in the void of quality academic exercises among its faculty and students. One strong move to accomplish this is the establishment of a diagnostic center to cater the growing needs of faculty and students for diagnostic services. As a mandate, a state college has to produce researches and provide extension services to its community and the center is most appropriate to strengthen this need. This facility was proposed to:
1. provide diagnostic services conveniently located within the college to encourage more faculty and students to continuously indulge themselves to do research works that require the use of this center for more viable and state of the art works
2. provide readily available and affordable laboratory analysis for their researches and studies without spending hours of travel to the nearest diagnostic laboratory and days waiting for the results and;
3. serve as an instrument in safeguarding the health of our crops and animals as well as our community thru continuous monitoring of our environment, plant and animal pests and diseases.
